Minor Characters are characters that are in the book but they dont play a very big part in the play. They are not the main point.

Mechanical Hound
The Mechanical Hound is used to hunt and destroy victims. The firemen also use it to play games where they let animals go and it chases them and inject somethings into them then they throw the animals in the incinerator when the animals are still alive but they are just simply knocked out. Also after Montag kills Beatty the hound also injects some of it into him but the need wasn't in long enough to inject all of it so his leg is numb and he destroys the hound with a flamethrower. A second hound is sent out to get him but he gets off of his scent and the hound ends up killing an innocent man, leaving the rest of the people in fear.
Professor Faber
Professor Faber Is Montag's mentor. He teaches people about books and how they reflect on life. Montag goes to him at beginning to get copy of bible. He also helps Montag escape. Montag takes his clothes and uses Whiskey to take his scent off and he can also use it as medicine if he gets cut so the cut doesn't get infected. He also created the Green Bullet so he and Montag can communicate. They also agree on a plan to put books in all the firemen houses and report them to make them burn their houses down.
Granger
Granger is the leader and author of the Book People which is a group of hobos. He is intelligent and patient. Granger is committed to preserver books and literature. he takes Montag and tries to get him to understand what he is reading. Montag, Granger and the other hobos then destroy the city and follow Granger to rebuild their society.
Old Lady
She gets reported of having books which she did and instead of surrendering the books she decides to burn herself along with her 3 story house. Her house is burned down and Montag manages to get one of her books and it makes him wonder why she didn't surrender, what is it in books that inspire so much passion.
Mrs. Phelps and Mrs. Bowles
They are Mildred's friends who also came over to watch on her 3 parlor walls. Their husbands are sent out at war and Montag reads a poem to them making one cry and the other quiet. They also view the people from television as their own family.
Stoneman and Black
These guys are two firemen who work with Montag at the firehouse. They do their work and never question anything about it. they also make the mechanical hound chase animals around until it injects them, later throwing them in the incinerator when they are still alive.
